  1. You couldn't send a clearer message that if you enter the UK illegally then you will be allowed to stay. Of course you will then also be housed and put on universal credit. Short of rolling out a red carpet at Dover, and hiring ferries to bring them across it's hard to imagine what more Starmer could do to encourage illegal migration.
