  1. Russia had two major supply routes. One was from Belgorod in the north, and the other was the Kerch bridge in the south. The Belgorod one was cut off a few weeks back. The Kerch bridge route is now at the least severely compromised. So militarily this is very significant. But it is equally significant politically as it is closely associated with Putin, and something he was immensely proud of. You have to have great faith in coincidence to believe that this happened by chance on his birthday. This a very public and serious humiliation for him. Even Russians don't enjoy having a leader that most of the world is mocking and laughing at.

  2. Only a fool, who has failed to learn from history, would consider peace talks with Putin. Chamberlain tried it with Hitler, and Putin is just as bad and mad.
