  1. Across the world we DO NOT see much correlation between the percentage vaccinated or how strict measures are, and infection levels. So any honest person would simply say that we don't really know what causes the rise and fall in infections, though it most certainly has bugger all to do with government bungling. It's possibly due to the interplay between natural immunity and how people network. What we do know is that natural immunity is far and away our best defense against this virus. This, NOT any of the government's insanely damaging measures, or their poorly tested vaccines, is what will eventually keep infections down. But don't hold your breath waiting for Downing Street to admit this.
