  3. Why do people keep insisting that the government listened to the experts. They didn't! They listened to their own appointed incontinent poodles. The REAL experts were an international team that included the likes of Sunetra Gupta at Oxford University. They very clearly stated that lockdowns would be ineffective and cause incredible damage. Instead they recommended just isolating the most vulnerable until herd immunity developed. For a virus that didn't pose a threat to 99% of the population, and then gave excellent natural immunity, this was EXACTLY the right advice. The government wantonly ignored this advice, the media suppressed it, and is still trying to keep it buried.
