For a virus that posed no threat to young people, a very tiny one to most of their teachers, and hardly any threat to over 99% of the population in general, lockdowns have buggered young people's education and mental health to hell. And the damage is ongoing. Lockdowns have encouraged an army of cowboys to offer online tuition. This is vastly inferior to in person teaching, but to save money, and the hassle of going to a tutor, most have swapped to this. Next summer, after 3 years of exams being given away, kids will have to take proper ones. A great many will then discover that paying the online cowboys was an incredibly bad investment in time and money!
