Why can't this professor be honest? We might not be absolutely certain, but it's looking HIGHLY LIKELY that this variant is EXTREMELY MILD. Ah, but saying this would lessen people's fears and upset his government paymasters. In fact, many doctors are saying that this variant could be really good news. Greater transmissibility, coupled with extreme mildness, means that it could very quickly SAFELY bestow PROPER NATURAL IMMUNITY on people. It could generate the herd immunity that these rushed through, and poorly tested, vaccines have spectacularly failed to do. How embarrassing would that be for Downing Street. No wonder they are so desperate to stamp out this variant.

@Nick7901962 Nice try troll. The first identified sample, from Botswana dates back to 9th November. Lying doesn't work when people can check the facts for themselves.

@Nick7901962 The frightened troll emerges again. People can easily check, to see that you are lying. The first Omicron case was identified about a month ago, and so the variant has been around even longer.
