  1. These migrants have no legal right to be in the UK. So Ireland can no more "send them back" to the UK than we could send them back to France. Of course if the Irish politicians had the sense to move them to one of Ireland's many remote Atlantic islands then there would be a stampede back across the border to Northern Ireland.
