It's like Fawlty Towers, only with lots of bungling inept Basils.
If you are fully vaccinated then your chance of catching the virus is negligible. If most people, and almost all of the vulnerable, in a country have been fully vaccinated, then even if a few infected people enter the country it's going to make bugger all difference to deaths or hospitalisations. Further testing for vaccinated people is simply a totally unnecessary expense. But then that's the point. Although the scum in Downing Street are telling people they can go abroad, and coercing them into getting vaccinated, they are doing everything they can to make it as difficult and expensive as possible for them.
Oh, and pretending those who have natural immunity, due to previous infection, aren't as well (if not better) protected, won't change the fact or make it go away. Of course, anyone with half a brain knows exactly why the government is doing this. They desperately want people to forget the LIE they were told about being able to catch covid-19 again, in order to terrify them into obedience. Even more worrying for the government is that acknowledgement of excellent natural immunity is going to make people start asking whether they should have adopted the approach recommended by the Great Barrington Declaration. When the enquiry starts this is one question they REALLY don't want to have to address!
