  1. As most Irish people will readily tell you, for most of the time since independence their politicians have been very corrupt and self-serving, and sold ordinary Irish people down the river without the slightest hesitation or regret.

  2. ​ @ShyTalks-d8b  Not a mind reader, but I have lived in Ireland. When I was in An Óige, which I used to go walking with very regularly, I remember a tale a retired member who used to work for the railways told me. He could recall a TD coming down to the station several times to demand that various people be given jobs. You will have no difficulty finding a vast number of tales like this!
