  1. Years ago all charities were run pro-bono. Those collecting in the street were usually women from the WI, doing it for free. Now all charities are run as businesses, with collectors paid. In 99% of cases charities are run by parasites who don't want to, or couldn't, get a real job, and they usually "earn" a lot more than most of us. That's why I no longer give to any charities.
