When I see how hard some of my students worked to get good A-levels, the way they have been treated over the last 18 months makes me both sad and angry. In my day my fees were paid, I got a grant, and I even had my travel to university paid. Today's students get none of this, and on top of it they are being cheated out of their lectures and everything else that is an important part of the university experience. Why does society care so little about its children and young people?
