  1. The great unwashed never seem to learn from history. One of the clearest, and easiest to understand, lessons is that you have to defend your freedom and liberty tenaciously. Every time you allow a despot to take some of it you can be absolutely certain that they will be back to take even more, until there's none less. I now fly a Swedish flag outside my home, to remind people that things really don't have to be this way.
