  1. What percentage of people, many of whom work vastly harder than MPs, earn £84,144 or more? If there was any hope of getting strikers to reduce their pay claims then this has probably blown it out of the water. If those in parliament gave a toss about the mess this country is in then they would have insisted on a pay freeze.
