  1. Do you get professorships out of a lucky dip bag? The right lesson is that all this shit was completely the wrong thing to do! A freedom of information request to the ONS revealed that, far from 150,000, only 17,500 people with no underlying health problems died, and almost all were over 65. The right lesson is to listen to the REAL experts who recommended ONLY isolating the most vulnerable, until natural herd immunity emerged.
