  1. From the start these small boats should have been towed back to the edge of French territorial waters, and only left enough fuel to get them back to France. Those who despite this still ended up in the UK should have been housed in Nissen huts on some remote Scottish island. Doing this would have saved shed loads of money, AND would have strongly discouraged what's now happening, and getting worse.
