  1. Yes, interest rates should have been raised a long time ago. This might well have prevented ridiculous house price rises, and the rent rises that go with them. As for the pathetic 0.25% rise a couple of days ago. It was like trying to put out a raging inferno by pissing on it. An absolute minimum rise of 0.5% should have been applied.
