  1. "The Tories are supposed to cut tax" Reminds be of Boris declaring that he is a "freedom loving Tory", and we all know what a joke that is. But fear not, in true Tory style, they are all set to screw the poor struggling OAPs. The "triple lock" promise is set to be reneged on. Sunak has presented the highly disingenuous argument that an 8% rise is a king's ransom more than what everybody else is getting. What he neglects to say is that 8% of a pittance is an even smaller pittance. The minimum wage, which people really struggle on, is about 2.5 times the state pension, that old people are expected to live on. Does that 8% still sound excessively generous?
