If those at the Bank of England had manned up earlier with 0.5% rate rises, instead of pathetic piddling 0.25% ones then maybe the message would have got through and this one wouldn't have been needed. What the bank has done until now is like giving a patient half the dose of the medicine, because he didn't like the taste, and then wondered why it didn't work.
