  2. The thing is that Universities need bright hard-working students, and many Asian students fit the bill very well. This is in stark contrast to what most of our UK schools are turning out. So many kids in our schools aren't prepared to put in the hard yards, and when they crash and burn they blame their teachers, rather than accepting that it was their own laziness and sense of self entitlement that caused their downfall. I once worked in a private sixth form college in New Zealand that was almost entirely full of students from China. They were a joy to teach!
