  1. And what lessons would those be? Perhaps the following: 1. Don't jail your brave soldiers for robustly interrogating known terrorists: or close Guantanamo Bay. 2. Don't jail Royal Marine soldiers for shooting Taliban who would certainly have done the same to them, if they were lucky enough not to be beheaded or tortured first. 3. Don't let the Taliban set up camps, build up strength, and bide their time just across the border.
