There are a lot of Muslims in this country and both Labour and Conservative think that by pandering to the fundamentalists and extremists they can hover up the Muslim vote. However, many Muslims are very moderate and as revolted by these fundamentalists and extremists as the rest of us. So MPs in these parties may be prostituting their principles for nothing. No, wait. That last sentence doesn't quite sound right. Most MPs don't have any principles.
