  1. Ageism is endemic throughout the UK, for a whole host of reasons. As one other example take a look at just how few older, highly experienced, teachers remain in schools. It's illegal, but unlike racism the government and courts deliberately turn a blind eye to this crime which is happening on such a large scale it's impossible to miss.
