If you look back through history, or consider geography, it's an undeniable fact that high levels of crime go hand in hand with deprivation. Boris' chain gang is a simplistic response, that won't work, designed to appeal to people as stupid and selfish as this Eton boy. It's no coincidence that crime is a lot lower in countries like Sweden, where there is much less inequality. The proper way to reduce crime is to help people, by giving them genuine opportunity and hope. A lot of these young people in gangs feel like they have nothing to lose, and therefore nothing to be afraid of, least of all Boris' chain gangs. Does this buffoon of a PM really not appreciate that a fair number of those in gangs are actually doing what they do to support their mother and siblings?
