  1. With 9.4 million of working age (that's 25%) not working, one has to ask oneself how many millions of these can work, but just don't want to, and are receiving benefits. Going after these people would bring in vastly more money than cutting pensioners' winter fuel allowance!

  2. ​ @snowysnowyriver  Sadly I think you are spot on. It's reminiscent of the politicians in ancient Rome going out into the streets and bribing the plebs to vote for them.
