BBC pre-moderates comments on their "Have Your Say" web page. It also bans people from it if they regularly post comments that the BBC doesn't endorse. And they aren't even honest enough to tell people they have been banned. You get a message telling you "there was a problem posting your comment". Another similar player is Times Educational Supplement. They have an equally dishonest strategy. They appear to post your comment, but if you refresh the page you will see that it has vanished.
