  1. Well Patrick, right at the start the REAL EXPERTS told the government that lockdowns and similar restrictions would not work, but simply cause an insane amount of damage and suffering. They subsequently published the same advice in the Great Barrington Declaration, which was signed by tens of thousands of doctors and scientists. The advice was, and still is, that you focus just on the most vulnerable, isolating them (now maybe vaccinating them), until natural herd immunity develops. Countless failed lockdowns, and proven excellent natural immunity have shown that this advice was spot on. With the highly transmissible, but EXTREMELY MILD Omicron variant we have a heaven sent chance to SAFELY achieve natural herd immunity. But rather than embrace it and admit their mistakes Downing Street want to wreck more businesses, and see more people die.
