The good will of a country's people is the smaller part of it. Much more important is the willingness of foreigners to abide by the "when in Rome" principal. That is you make every effort to learn the language, and you accept that country's values. In particular you accept that women have equal rights, and must not be molested because you can see more than their eyes through a slit. AND, that your wife, daughters and sisters have the same rights as other women in the country, NOT just the rights that you think they should have.
