  1. How it must have upset Putin that ISIS very publicly, and quickly, claimed responsibility for this. With so many younger people against the war in Ukraine, and supporting Navalny, it would have been wonderful if he could have pinned this on Ukraine. So, he's now trying to make it seem that Ukraine facilitated this atrocity.

  2. Actually, the age group of those murdered in this atrocity makes it likely that they were opposed to Putin. Putin doesn't care about their deaths in the least, but would dearly love to be able to blame it on Ukraine.
