  1. Desperate Putin is still trying to frighten the West and NATO. After over 18 months of trying this he would realise it won't work, if he wasn't so mentally enfeebled.

  2. He didn't win the election, he stole it, as usual. Nothing has changed, so why should relations with China improve? In fact, Putin has LESS to offer China.

  3. Putin MUST be defeated, not rewarded, unless we want to see a repeat of Chamberlain's infamous "peace in our time". He mustn't be allowed to keep a single square centimeter of Ukraine, and that includes Crimea. If Ukraine is prepared to fight to get its land back then Europe needs to double down on supporting this.
