  1. Maybe in the Cold War years the BBC had integrity, and could be trusted, but it's not been that way for a long time. More recently, one only has to look at the truly vast amount of pandemic related news that the BBC censored or covered up, in order not to displease its Downing Street paymasters. It's ironic that most of us only learnt what was going on from Russian funded Ruptly. We need a referendum on TV licenses, because it's fairly certain that most of us are very unhappy about being forced to fund this organisation. If it's that bloody good it will be able to attract sponsorship and advertising, like all the other channels.
