By ignoring the advice in the Great Barrington Declaration, and imposing lockdowns and restrictions strong evolutionary pressure was put on the sars-cov-2 virus that favoured more infectious strains. It is doubtful that Delta could have outcompeted much less infectious variants without the massive helping hand it received from stupid and cowardly governments!
