  1. So plasma isn't going to save the day, we haven't found a wonder drug, and even a dodgy vaccine is at least a year away. This is probably why President Macron has just told the French that they are going to have to cosy up to covid-19 until at least next summer. Is anyone really retarded enough to think we can take another year of these insane lockdowns and restrictions? Unlike the Dr. Deaths in (the not so) SAGE, let's look on the bright side: 1. In the latest reports the IFR is being quoted as <0.3%. OK, that may be twice or three times that of flu, but it's still far too low to go full-on headless chicken. 2. We now know that long term immunity is a fact. So instead of quivering with fear as the infections rise we should be thinking of how much sooner we will reach herd immunity. Hell, maybe we should be having "catch covid parties". 3. Covid-19 is not the big bad boggy man. Out of a totally random population sample it only kills about 1 in 1,000. If we remove the very old and/or very sick from the sample then we are probably only talking about something that's much closer to 1 in 100,000. Only the truly feeble-minded and dyed-in-the-wool cowards now support the lockdowns and restrictions. It's time , albeit belatedly, to adopt Sweden's approach. Ever wondered why we don't see any news about Swedes protesting? It's because they are very happy with how their government acted.
