Inflection rates fluctuate by themselves due to both network considerations and the availability of new victims. Is there STRONG statistical evidence (confidence limits please) to indicate anything other than a natural fluctuation? By the way, any one who knows even a little about evolution could have told you that these useless lockdowns would ENCOURAGE the development of more transmissible variants. But with most of the over 80s now vaccinated there's really no excuse to make a big fuss over them. On homeopathy we should let believers claim their Darwin award by dying because they relied on it. Only the most feeble minded believe such utter nonsense, so it's probably a good thing if they are removed from the gene pool.
