OK, lets crunch some of these numbers 842922/25026014 = 3.4%.
Now 290000/3000000 = 9.7% and 650000/5000000 = 13%, but let's be really generous and try to get this as low as possible 290000/5000000 = 5.8%.
What this is telling us very clearly is that even downplaying a bad flu season, the percentage of deaths for flu cases that show up on the radar is at least 5.8% and probably significantly higher. But for covid-19 we only have 3.4%.
Do however please note that these figures DO NOT say that 5.8% of the population will die in a bad flu season or that 3.4% of the population will die from covid-19. In fact, for covid-19, this appears to be between 0.1% and 0.2%. That's 1 to 2 in 1000, and they will be mainly people who are already very sick and would probably die soon anyway.
So the death rate from covid-19 is much lower than what we get in a bad flu year. This is the clear message that Dr. Campbell's figures, from reputable sources, are telling us. If we don't shut down the world for a bad flu, then why have we done so for a virus that seems relatively benign in comparison?
From these figures it seems even clearer than ever that Sweden adopted the correct approach. The lockdowns, quarantines, and social distancing measures represent one of the biggest ever cock-ups in history. If politicians had a shred of honesty and decency, they would admit how badly they have screwed things up and immediately remove all restrictions. Of course, most politicians are complete scum-bags, and there is no shortage of innumerate, quivering, snowflakes who strongly support the debacle that they have created.
It really is way past time to MAN UP, and get a grip. Let school kids have the proper education and childhood that they deserve, and that you had. Let university students enjoy, and profit from the kind of university experience that those who went before them enjoyed. Give those who still have businesses that small chance of salvaging what's left. I get extremely angry when I hear some misfortune being blamed on covid-19. Covid-19 IS NOT to blame. Unnecessary lockdowns, quarantines, and social distancing are the sole causes.
