  1. I wish R was between 300 to 500, because this variant may well bring the pandemic to an end. None of the data still coming out of South Africa changes the initial characterisation of this variant being EXTREMELY MILD: in fact the evidence for this is strengthening. Downing Street really, really don't want this to happen, because they will then be forced to answer questions that they don't even want people asking themselves. This is what they so afraid of.
