  1. This would make a lot of sense. For a virus that only kills maybe 1 in 1000 it would take quite a while to spread and become noticed. And by the time it was noticed it would also be widely disseminated. I remember waking up on Christmas day 2019 feeling as if someone was rubbing a wire brush up and down my throat, and aching from head to toe. But the following day I felt well enough to make my annual pilgrimage to M&S for my half price turkey. I recall mentioning to my sister, who was skeptical that you could recover from flu so fast, but a few months later my symptoms and recovery fitted covid-19 very nicely. The real point is that this would seem to show that all the hysterical finger wagging about closing borders sooner is complete nonsense. The horses were already long gone from the stable!
