  1. Why aren't two doses effective? Why should that third dose be 70% effective? Here's my VERY WORRYING conjecture. Suppose what we are seeing with the booster isn't down to the mRNA in the vaccine, but rather the effect of the adjuvant. This puts the immune system on hair trigger alert, so to speak. In other words it's more likely to recognise something as foreign, and mount an attack on it. Now if the only thing it recognises is the sars-cov-2 virus then this is fine. However, an immune system in this state may mistakenly recognise something that it shouldn't. The result of this can be anything from a mild allergy to a life threatening autoimmune disease: which is there for life. With millions being given boosters, this is definitely something that shouldn't be dismissed out of hand.
