When you are cleaning up s**t you sometimes get your hands dirty. Leave these very brave men alone and let them protect us without hinderance.

"You can't keep treating people like sheep" Unfortunately Tim, there are millions of Brits who ARE behaving like frightened bleating sheep.

"We locked up the university students, instead of the vulnerable" That got a laugh out of me. Watching the clowns in Downing Street mishandle this pandemic is much like watching Fawlty Towers. However instead of "don't mention the war", it's "don't mention the Great Barrington Declaration". I think that the brightest among us are in no doubt whatsoever that the strategy recommended by the GBD should have been adopted from the very start. However it's certain that this will never be admitted, and the sheep in this country also don't want to admit that they have been well and truly fleeced. Even with the vaccinations, nobody wants to admit that there is a really good possibility that natural immunity might well be a vastly better alternative. These vaccines only present one antigen to the immune system, whereas those who catch and recover from covid-19 have had the whole virus exposed to the immune system. So they are primed to recognise far more viral antigens. Their immunity may last much longer, and it may be far better at recognising variants and future viruses that are similar. Considering this possibility I think that vaccinating healthy people under 40 is down right criminal.

Agreed! And then shot!

If you pay attention to what Farage said it was that NATO and the EU provided a pretext that Putin could use to justify his aggression to the Russian people. It's very likely he would have just made up another excuse if this one wasn't available. His ranting about "historic Russia" wasn't provoked by NATO and the EU.

If I think back 50 years I can remember lots of houses next to Chase Farm hospital, in Enfield, that were used to provide homes for its doctors and nurses. For many decades they were then just left derelict and boarded up. Then, about ten years ago everything was sold to private developers, to build expensive flats and houses on. Call me a soft touch, but I think looking after those who look after us was a very sensible investment. Nurses get a bloody poor deal, as do many doctors. Covid-19 has not brought the NHS to it's knees, it's just being used as an excuse. What has precipitated this crisis is decades of government neglect coupled with the cancerous growth of a parasitic and grossly swollen management that have sucked the lifeblood out of our doctors and nurses.

Just how incredibly stupid do you have to be to entertain even the remotest prospect of "zero covid"? It's like King Canute ordering the tide not to come in, except that he didn't expect to be successful.

Although 63, I too am absolutely appalled at the attitude of so many to young people, and the way they have been treated. I look back on my youth and admit I had it bloody good. In fact, even before this pandemic I would say that my generation had it a lot better. We had our university fees paid, a grant, and even our travelling reimbursed. On top of that I always found it incredibly easy to land a job every single holiday. I would never seek to take away from young people the opportunities that I enjoyed at their age, under any circumstances. I just put it down to having some small shred of decency and fairmindedness. Unfortunately the UK really does seem to be stuffed to the gills with a most cowardly and selfish older generation. This virus never posed any serious threat to our young people, and it posed only a miniscule threat to most of their teachers and lecturers. No proof has ever been produced to show that what has been done to them has significantly reduced covid-19 deaths. Yet young people have born the lion's share of the restrictions. What the sniveling older cowards seem to forget is that these young people are our future, and as they will discover payback's a bitch!

"Risk-averse" is a polite way of saying cowardly! The way all the bad stats are now plummeting is more than enough reason to immediately end this immensely damaging lockdown, without replacing it with similarly damaging restrictions. The scum in Downing Street don't seem to be averse to risking people's jobs, young people's education, and the mental health of millions.

Well as long as he doesn't take down her knickers, because over the past year she's been constantly wetting them due to her irrational fears about covid-19.

Brexit totally changed things for Scotland, so on that basis I think they have a right to another referendum, and a chance to rejoin the EU. In Nicola Sturgeon's position I would just organise another referendum, regardless of what Boris wants. Short of sending in the army, there's nothing he can do to stop it, and if the majority vote for an independent Scotland standing in the way of this would probably be politically untenable.

Governments' propaganda campaigns remind me of medieval times. The church convincing ignorant peasants to believe in witches, which only the church could then save them from.

Let's tell it as it is. Firstly we have a cabinet that is full of innumerate and scientifically illiterate ministers. Secondly they are LIARS. They have scared the hell out most people. They have gone out of their way not to assuage fears by truthfully telling people that the risk posed by covid-19, to over 99% is very small. And they have also lied about long term immunity for those who have contracted and recovered from covid-19. Why has Blow Job and his clowns done this? My guess would be that they get off on all the power the emergency powers have given them. I'm in no doubt that Sweden's approach was/is the correct one. If you want to amuse yourself with my parody of BJ then click on my picture.

While I am totally against coercing people to be vaccinated by any means, what these EU countries did was an act of unmitigated stupidity. For very strong evidence that the good done by the AstraZeneca vaccine vastly outweighs any downside they only had to look at the many millions that had been vaccinated in the UK. So many governments need to grow up and appreciate that there's no such thing as risk free living, that people die, and that you can't save everybody. A few decades ago we would have just got on with life, in the face of this pandemic. We would have tried to more or less follow the advice in the Great Barrington Declaration and accepted that some deaths in a pandemic are the natural order of things, instead of buggering almost everyone's life to hell. Sadly, most people today seem to have lost both their backbone and moral fibre.

Boris Johnson wouldn't know the truth if it bit him hard on his big fat arse! What this sad excuse for a man has said is a massive lie, because he doesn't want to admit he should have already lifted all his insane and highly damaging restrictions. And you don't need to take my word for it. Experts like Tim Specter have also attributed the massive drop in hospitalistions and deaths to vaccinations. What kind have country have we become that we elect moronic liars and cheats to the most powerful position in the UK?

Well, would you want someone who CHEATED millions of poor OAPs out the the pension rise they are entitled to as PM?

Do Russians get a lobotomy at birth? Surely they must realise that if Putin were to nuke a NATO city then all their major cities would be wiped off the face of the earth minutes later. "Removing" Putin, and his so-called "strong men", should now be a matter of their own survival.

Professor Jay Bhattacharya is so right. It's cowardly, selfish, and very stupid, rich and middle class people who have been supporting lockdowns, because they barely inconvenience them, but they have crucified the poorest. What I find so hard to understand is why people can't see how totally ineffective lockdowns are. At best they just kicked the covid-19 can down the road a bit. To anyone who isn't severely mentally challenged it is obvious that heeding the advice in the Great Barrington Declaration is/was the right way to go. If this had been done we would now be enjoying herd immunity. The most vulnerable would be able to come out of isolation, economies would be intact, and our young people wouldn't have had their education and mental health bugger to hell. We would also probably have had fewer deaths. The imposition of lockdowns is on a par with serious war crimes!

What should have been trusted is the advice given in the Great Barrington Declaration. This advice was available to Boris well before the GBD was drafted. If it had been followed then what you mention above would be far less bad. Also, less people would have died, and (without any vaccines) we would now be enjoying herd immunity.

The point is to provide a whitewash for the government. A serious enquiry would ask, in the light of Sweden's experience, whether there should ever have been any insanely damaging lockdowns. Several recent reputable studies have concluded that they were totally ineffective! An honest enquiry, in the light of the continuing large number of excess deaths, would ask whether most people should ever have been vaccinated, and why, in the face of strong scientific evidence, the government still persists in denying how good natural immunity is.

If, as South African doctors have characterised it, this variant turns out to be EXTREMELY MILD then high transmissibility is brilliant news. This means that it will quickly and VERY SAFELY bestow PROPER NATURAL IMMUNITY on countless millions. Of course, if you are a government that has been lying about natural immunity and wants to keep people frightened then this is the worst news you could imagine.
1
All over the world the effectiveness of lockdowns has been grossly exaggerated. In fact many question whether they have been any use at all. On the other hand their staggering negative impact has been grossly understated. We need more honest scientists to tell the truth, so that governments can be held to account for the massive crimes they have committed by imposing lockdowns on their populations. Hopefully we will eventually see these self-serving politicians given very long jail sentences.

Here's something you won't see any of the government lapdog "scientists" modelling anytime soon: We have a virus that kills well under 1%, and on the whole we can predict those most at risk. It is also quite infectious. However the over 99% who recover then possess excellent natural immunity, which may well last a lifetime. Taking this into account I'd like to see the outcome of modelling the result of following the advice given in the Great Barrington Declaration. I've a feeling that the model would show that following this advice would have been spectacularly successful! I suspect this is the reason why governments are pretending that excellent, long term, natural immunity doesn't exist. They desperately don't want people to realise that following the recommendations in the GBD (given to them well before it was published) would have saved wrecking their countries, and relegated covid-19 to a small footnote in history.

For well over a year now the BBC has shown it's true colours, behaving like a state run channel in a former iron curtain country. It has vigorously suppressed and censored any covid-19 related news that its paymasters in Downing Street didn't want the public to hear about, in case it gave them "undesirable ideas". If the BBC is so damn good then sponsors and advertisers will flock to support it. If this is not the case then why should we all be forced to support a lying, cheating lame duck?

Give a dictator an inch (of your freedom) and he will take a mile!

I've been calling him a coward, a liar, and a cheat, for over a year now. I'm not afraid to tell the truth.

It's entirely natural that infection levels, of any disease, fluctuate. This is due to networking effects and the availability of new victims. Despite the government's claims, I doubt there is any strong evidence that downturns in infection are due to lockdowns. What we do know with CERTAINTY is that lockdowns have destroyed countless businesses and jobs. They have also wrecked the education of young people and seriously impacted the mental health of a vast number. What's particularly galling about all this is that some of the brightest and most eminent scientists in the world suggested an alternative strategy in their Great Barrington Declaration. This was ignored by the gangsters in Downing Street. If this suggestion had been followed, instead of the catastrophic lockdowns and restrictions, we would have focused sharply on just isolating the RELATIVELY FEW most vulnerable. By now we would have herd immunity and less deaths. It's also very important to keep in mind that countries like Sweden and Brazil still have lower death rates than the UK.

@helenmaclenan2912 Would that be the same fools who believe what the scum in Downing Street tell them?😉
