  1. We have a peaceful country 100 miles off China's coast, with about 23 million people, which has existed for 70 years without attacking anyone. Why can't Emperor Xi just leave Taiwan alone? Probably because he is Asia's equivalent of Putin, and regards Taiwan in the same way that Putin regards the Baltic states.

  2. ​ @dougla82airborne  This suggests an incredibly easy resolution. Taiwan formerly renounces any claim on China, and China formerly renounces any claim on Taiwan.
