Let's be honest. For most people under 40, or maybe even older, covid-19 is no big deal. So we are not vaccinating them for their own benefit, but typically for the benefit of people who are over 80. As none of these vaccines are 100% safe this runs counter to medical ethics, but we seem to have burnt the book on that, and scattered it's ashes. There will also be plenty of health workers who have recovered from covid-19. These people now have excellent natural immunity, and gain absolutely nothing from being vaccinated: they are just put at unnecessary risk, no matter how small that might be.
