  1. The probability of getting three simultaneous leaks by chance is vanishingly small, so of course it was sabotage. However as Russia can simply lie about maintenance issues, when it doesn't want to supply gas, I can't see its motivation for doing this. If anything this should make Russia very worried about maintaining the integrity of its other pipelines: and its gas revenues. It should also "encourage" countries like Germany and Hungary to consider other energy supplies very quickly!
