These so-called "scientists" are an utter disgrace to their profession, and the institutions they work at. But, for every one of these spineless snowflakes there are several real experts who will tell you they are talking complete nonsense. There is absolutely no strong statistical or scientific evidence that any variant is significantly more infectious or deadly. There is only weak conjecture, which these cowardly and dishonest people are pushing as fact. And just to underline how pathetic these "scientists" are today's covid deaths are a nice round zero.
