There are so many islands off the coast of Scotland that are sparsely inhabited or not inhabited at all. Some even have a fair bit of infrastructure for years gone by. So would have been much cheaper to set up accommodation on one of these islands, and the do-gooder judges couldn't have prevented it by claiming people were being entrusted to an unsafe regime. Being held in such a place, with no prospect of setting foot on the mainland, would also be a massive deterrent. So why hasn't this been done instead?
