  1. Only those who are scientifically illiterate would believe such complete nonsense. Firstly, generating this kind of laser power is much harder than producing a light pointer. Secondly, the intervening air absorbs so much energy that using such weapons over a distance just isn't worthwhile unless you are trying to take out a nuke. Even then the practicality is very questionable.
