While the virus itself would have done next to nothing to kids, government lockdowns and scaremongering have badly damaged the mental health of lots of them. Next time you see preschoolers watch carefully. You will see a lot of them hiding behind their parents. This senseless panicking has made them frightened of strangers. As you walk down your highstreet you will notice a significant number of school kids wearing masks. The government's spectacularly successful propaganda campaign has made these kids fear for their lives, when they have absolutely nothing to be afraid of. But by far the worst damage has been done by the cowardly closing of schools. Social interaction and learning is incredibly important for the developing brain. Though selfish cowards will never admit it, vast numbers of kids have had their mental health and development adversely affected by curtailing their time at school.
