  4. If Tim's comment about Omicron replacing Delta is correct then this is extremely desirable, and cause for celebration, rather than panic. I think the "different picture" comment is extremely polite. People need to be very careful about believing anything the government, or their media stooges say. Boris has already deliberately tried to mislead people into thinking that someone has died of Omicron. So listen very carefully to the wording of statements about deaths and hospitalisations. When I was brought up we were taught not to spilt hairs between an outright lie and saying something deliberately worded to mislead. The bottom line about Omicron is that there is still NO evidence to refute South African doctors' claims that it is EXTREMELY MILD. In the whole world there has not been a single PROVEN case of it killing, or even hospitalising, anyone! There really is the possibility that Omicron could SAFELY spread herd immunity and bring this pandemic to an end. That's what has the despots so terrified.
