  1. If you were starting today would you still be prepared to teach in most UK schools? The reason we have teachers and headteachers like this is that very few capable people would touch teaching in a UK state school with a 10ft barge pole. I've taught in New Zealand, Germany and Italy. They are all far better places to teach than the UK, and I'm sure others could add many more countries to the list.
