Yes, Josef Goebbels would have been immensely proud if this government's scaremongering had been one of his campaigns. Indeed, the way they have used fear bears an uncanny resemblance to the way the Nazis manipulated their population in 1930s Germany. The danger of this virus to the vast majority of people has been grossly exaggerated. Also the government have, contrary to all evidence, repeatedly supported the lie that recovered people aren't immune: they most certainly are. Why is it that we don't see any news featuring distraught Swedes. The BBC would certainly broadcast this with the utmost relish. But the fact is that what Sweden is doing works. It's way past time that we copied this.
