  1. There are times when the wind doesn't blow and the turbines don't turn. And some of those times are when it's very cold. Nuclear power doesn't emit any greenhouse gases, and it is extremely reliable. Maybe that's why 50% of French electricity is generated in this manner. The sensible French also have a fast breeder reactor that as well as producing electricity turns useless uranium 238 into fuel. Ah, but then, unlike the English, the French have always respected scientists, engineers and mathematicians.

  3. Unfortunately, you need some intelligence to appreciate this simple fact. The same is also true in regard to electric vehicles. They keep a city's air cleaner, but the bigger picture is far less rosy.
