  1. While doctors (at least the ones in hospitals) and nurses deserve their pay rises, the train drivers most certainly do not. Contrary to the rail union propaganda it take very little intelligence or effort to drive a train. There may once have been a time when a train driver also had to know enough to fix the engine, but those days have long since passed.

  2. ​ @kathleenmatthews6145  If you can do it on the underground then you can also do it overground. Of course, the unions will fight it.
